The Bloom & The Thorns is an interpretation of an original painting by American Artist Brian Coleman. Inspired by a trip to Lake Wylie in South Carolina, Coleman designed this piece based on the reflections on the water that he saw, the lines and shapes derived from a map of the lake and blooming roses from the surrounding areas. This piece has been skilfully hand-knotted in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal using the world’s oldest traditional skills in the finest Tibetan wool and Chinese silk.
